It was billed as thre biggest book swap in the history of the school - and so it proved.
Close to 600 books changed hands in just over an hour in the Key Stage 2 playground.
This was the latest of the school's very popular Read Aloud initiative - which is encoraging parents to read daily with their children.
Head of Community Outreach, Wendy Bowstead, said:
"The success of book swap shows
once again the passion there is for reading in our community. And the the most
frequent question we had on the day was ‘When is the next one’.
