Nursery Admissions

Applying for a Nursery place

You can let us know at any time that you are interested in a nursery place as we have several intakes through the year.

We are now able to take children in the term before they are three years old.

Robin Hall is the nursery for Cuckoo Hall Academy and Woodpecker Hall Primary Academy offering part time and full time places. All families are eligible for free part time places (15 hours for 38 weeks).  Some families will be eligible for free full time day care (30 hours for 38 weeks).

Parents will need to meet the following national criteria in order to be eligible for 30 hours free childcare. You can check free full time day care eligibility here.

The Trust is responsible for the admission of pupils into Robin Hall nursery classes through Cuckoo Hall Academy. After the admission of pupils with a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Statement or an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) which names the Academy, the Trust uses the specific criteria to decide which children should be offered places.

If there are fewer applications for the nursery classes than there are places available, everyone is offered a place.

Please note that having a place in our nursery does not guarantee admission to the academy's reception class. A separate application must be made for a reception place.

If you wish to apply for a place will need to complete a Nursery Application Form and directly submit the application to our school office .

The school office will be happy to answer queries.

Read the Cuckoo Hall nursery admission arrangements document.

In-Year Admissions: Change school during the school year

If you have moved into the area and are seeking a place at our school you will need to complete an In-year application form from the London borough of Enfield available at this link. This is a universal application form which can be used to apply for a place at any of the academies that the Trust runs and is also available from the academy office. This form should also be used if you are looking to transfer to us from another school.

Parents/carers have the right of appeal to an Independent Appeal Panel if they are dissatisfied with an admission decision of the Academy. The Appeal Panel will be independent of the Academy. The arrangements for Appeals will be in line with the School Admission Appeals Code published by the Department of Education.

Key Dates:

Hearings will be heard early July via an online panel meeting.

Please see our Admissions Appeals form at this link if you wish to appeal against an admission decision.
