Nursery Admissions 2019-2020

Applying for a Nursery place in September 2019:

Cuckoo Hall Academy in conjunction with Woodpecker Hall Primary Academy offer part time and full time places in nursery. All families are eligible for free part time places (15 hours for 38 weeks).  Some families will be eligible for free full time day care (30 hours for 38 weeks).

Parents will need to meet the following national criteria in order to be eligible for 30 hours free childcare. You can check free full time day care eligibility here.

The Trust is responsible for the admission of pupils in to nursery classes at Cuckoo Hall Academy. After the admission of pupils with a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Statement or an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) which names the Academy, the Trust uses the specific criteria to decide which children should be offered places.

If there are fewer applications for the Nursery classes than there are places available, everyone is offered a place.

Please note that having a place in our nursery does not guarantee admission to the academy's reception class. A separate application must be made for a reception place.

If you wish to apply for a place in nursery and your child was born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016 you will need to complete a Nursery Application Form and directly submit the application to our school office for the September intake.

If your child is born 1 September 2015 and 31 December 2015, then they will be eligible for the January 2019 intake. Please follow the same application as above. The school office will be happy to answer queries.
